Can I purchase a gift certificate?

Yes. Please contact us via email at info@kipperclothiers.com. We can ship the gift card to you or to a friend.

What do you offer?

Kipper Clothiers produces the following custom products: tuxedos, two and three-piece suits, suit separates, overcoats, button-up shirts, polos, custom shoes, custom jeans, and accessories.

How do consultations work? 

Fitting consultations generally last about 1.5 - 2 hours. If you have images of specific styles/colors, it is always helpful to bring those along with you. Consultations are $100 and will be subtracted from the total cost of your order when you purchase. 

How long does it take to make a shirt, suit, or jeans?

Your garments will arrive within 6-7 weeks. During that time, feel free to reach out to us at info@kipperclothiers.com with any inquiries regarding your suit and/or shirt arrival date. You will be provided with a tracking number for all shipments.

Do you make suits/shirts/jeans for men and women?

Kipper Clothiers is an equal opportunity supplier of suits and shirts.

When will I receive my garments?

Your garments will arrive within 6-8 weeks. During that time, feel free to reach out to us at info@kipperclothiers.com with any inquiries regarding your garment’s arrival date.

What shipping options do you offer?

Kipper Clothiers ships via UPS ground. If you need us to ship your garments to you once they arrive, please note that the charges will be on you as the customer. UPS does not insure lost packages, so please note that having Kipper Clothiers ship your garments to you are at your own risk. We do not refund or remake lost garments.

Can I expedite my order?

On certain occasions, it is possible to expedite your order at a 30% upcharge.

What countries does Kipper Clothiers ship to?

At this time, Kipper Clothiers does not offer international shipping, however, we do plan on offering this service in the future. Sign up for our newsletter for updates. In addition, as soon as we make international shipping available, we will update this section.

How do I make a changes or cancel to my order?

You have 24 hours to make any style or fit changes to your order before it goes into production. After the initial 24 hours, no changes or cancellations can be made. 

How does the alteration process work?

When your custom garments are ready to try on, we will complete a fitting at our store located at 78 Gough St. During this fitting, we will discuss the fit of the garments and any alterations needed. Alterations take 1-2 weeks to complete. Generally 1-2 rounds of alterations are needed to meet our clients needs.

If I am not satisfied, will you give me a refund?

Kipper Clothiers cannot provide refunds on any custom garments with no exception. Our garments are made by a master tailor to the clients unique measurements from the best cloths around the world - when buying a custom piece from Kipper Clothiers you are keeping the work of master craftsmen alive. We thank you for your understanding.

I am unable to get to San Francisco. Can I use measurements taken by my tailor?

Kipper Clothiers accepts outside measurements in special cases. Book a Talk To A Stylist appointment to discuss your options.

I have a different body type than the models on your website. Will Kipper Clothiers custom garments fit me?

Kipper Clothiers understands that you are coming to us to find a good fit. Suits/shirts/jeans are 100% custom made to fit your body.

How can I pay for my order?

Kipper Clothiers accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, as well as checks and/or cash. Kipper Clothiers requires all payments in full at the time your order is placed.

Can I trust that my credit card transaction is safe?

Kipper Clothiers keeps your information secure and private. Please note that the charge on your statement will appear as “Kipper Clothiers, San Francisco CA.”

How much does a Kipper Clothiers suit/shirt/denim cost?

Prices are determined by the fabrics you select. Our suits begin at $1150, our shirts begin at $175, and our custom denim is $450. Everyone gets the same customization options.

Can I chose my own lining color?

Yes, Kipper Clothiers offers many lining colors and patterns.

What width are the suit jacket lapels?

Standard lapels on Kipper Clothiers suits measure 2.5 inches. You can also customize the width or your lapel to your desired measurements.

How do I know what style will look best on me?

Your Kipper Clothiers stylist will guide you through picking your fabric and will take you through every style detail step-by-step until you are confident that your suit or shirt will look just the way you want.

How many days in advance should I order my suit or shirt before my special event?

Kipper Clothiers’ typical turnaround time is 4-6 weeks. However, if you have a special event in mind, Kipper Clothiers recommends that you allow for a 6-8 week turnaround time.

Kipper Clothiers works hard to find socially responsible partners. We have developed strong personal relationships with our vendors and are proud to work with American owned companies.
